As per the norm, I haven't updated my LJ for quite a while, so I figured I'd have to say something here so people that aren't near by will know I'm still alive

How people play the game really depends on the DM. If you want people to roleplay, it really should be strongly encouraged. Discourage people from making characters with awesome stats but no substance, since they're a dime a dozen not to mention BORING to roleplay with. I've wanted to do more of the actions and voices for characters (I definitely have different manners of speech for my different characters), but it's not really been encouraged or even rewarded. Some people prefer the boringness of crunching numbers and spending forever doing more stat-enhancing but story-stalling things.
In any case, I'll be a local person again this next weekend, so if there are any player slots available I might be interested. ;)
Heh...you should know by now that it isn't only the DM that makes the game. If players don't focus on the game, even when they're not directly interacting, the story and characters personalities and even the story get lost in the noise.
That's why smaller games have been beginning to surface lately. The problem with that...is that some one gets left out.

I'm thinking of running my own game, if you're interested. In fact...I think I'll make a post.
