*clings* I'm in the "red eyes, full hearts, can't lose" stage and am struggling to stop snuffling around and go to bed already because it's late. I thought I was done, then there was a block of interviews at the end of the episode and that just set me off again.
THE FUCKING INTERVIEWS MAN. Like, the credits started to roll but my copy is all "NOPE FIVE MINUTES" and I'm just spinning out nightmare scenarios where they show us how EVERYONE DIES ala Six Feet Under, but NO. NO. It's more heart ache. But the good kind! The moar tears kind, too.
I'm so happy this show gave a platform for this cast. They deserve the world. Or maybe another season. BUT THIS WAS SO SATISFYING TOO. We can pretend they can always pick up with the Philly team, right? Right.

YES.

YES!!! I absolutely loved how they opted to film the State Championship game, how it became a representation of that particular moment in their lives/journeys and much bigger than whether or not they won or not...and cutting from that last pass to Eric in the next stage of the Taylors' lives was pitch-perfect. His new team in Philly, new group of men to mold, new purpose (and of course, most importantly, his purpose now in support of *Tami's* career)...MAH HEART CAN'T TAKE IT.
