Well, HELLO! I'm going to skip the usual excuses about not posting and resolving to do better and just jump straight to my question (which I already asked on Twitter, and thanks for the responses there). I need footage help: I'm looking for 1) clocks with moving hands (like time-lapse, where you can see the movement easily) and 2) moving clockwork ( Read more... )

I know season one of Heroes has some clock movement like that, and also "33" from BSG. I'll try to remember to rip them for you tonight, or at least by the weekend.

I was thinking of Heroes but couldn't come up with episodes because I don't know the show very well (I did watch the first season). You are incredibly sweet to offer to rip the footage, but you really don't have to do that...just the suggestions are a big help! Thank you!

to go along with my previous suggestions, I think there was also something in Inception. Which I have on dvd, but can't rip for.

(I hope any of those are useful, but idk)

eta: also there is a shot in Watchmen's director's cut which I don't think is in the theatrical one panning out from inside Doctor Long's watch to him tapping during the climax.

Inception was in the back of my mind, too. I've only seen it once, so I don't recall exactly. Thank you so much again -- absolutely useful! I'm going to Netflix some of the suggestions and see what I can find.

The movie Watchmen has lots of watch footage, as far as I recall. Will try to think of more!

Hi there! I'm actually here because I wanted to comment on your lovely FNL vids, but I noticed this post and wanted to reply.

Anyway, the film "Donnie Darko" also has a lot of clock/time imagery, if I recall correctly.
