But now the morning staffers were starting to trickle in, and after realizing that she had read the same sentence five times without quite taking in any of its context, she figured she was due for a spot of fresh air and at least a half gallon of caffeine, preferably delivered intravenously.
She noticed the trailing herd of giggling girls before she actually spotted Jonah, looking like he would rather be being pelted with dungbombs than where he was, blushing shades she hadn't even known were possible.
"It seems you've drawn a crowd, there, Quidditch star," she smiled as she came up behind him.

"I think I'll have to wear a bag over my head for all further matches," he grumbled, shaking his head. "Because this is bloody ridiculous-"
He sighed, then, realizing how silly it was to complain about being popular of all things.
"Care to hide with me?"

"On second thought, hiding might be best. Before one of them decides to pounce." She motioned for him to move along, urging him around the corner (cringing slightly as she caught her reflection in a passing window - all frazzled hair and red rinmed eyes, she certainly looked the part of the overworked ministry employee).
She threw a last look over her shoulder to make sure the fanclub hadn't kept up, then tugged at the sleeve of his coat to pull him into the easily overlooked door that led to her go-to coffee shop.

He sighed with relief as he stepped inside, pulling his hat from his head. His hair was unruly now, flopping this way and that and he raked a hand through it briefly before realizing it was a lost cause. He looked around the coffee shop for a moment before he is eyes caught Ella's.
He grinned.
"I feel like I owe you my life," he said, the dramatic tone in his voice unwavering. "Who knows what those bloody girls would have done-"
