"Little Sophie asks Ryan, why he doesn't call their parents "Mom" and "Dad" like she and Seth do, but "Kirsten" and "Sandy". Ryan tries to explain.

So very sweet- and good. Loved the whole thing.

But my favorite part was this: '“Why does Seffy always keep talking and talking and talking and talking and talking?” she demanded, pouncing on a rare pause in Seth’s monologue. She turned wide, round eyes to Kirsten, “Is it ‘cause he’s got something wrong with him?”

Seth’s head drew back and his jaw dropped open, but before anyone could respond, Sophie spoke again.

“I guess maybe he’s got a brain disease,” she announced gravely, her eyebrows knit together."

I totally agree with Sophie Rose. :D

You've got such great icons!

Thank you for such a lovely review! I'm very pleased you liked it. It used to bother me no end that TPTB used the term 'adopted' so freely, when there was never any indication that the Cohens made any move to adopt Ryan. While that made sense as long as they would have needed Frank and Dawn's permission, once Ryan turned 18 there's an adult adoption procedure in California that would have worked perfectly for the family... you can decide whether to change names.

I like to think somewhere along the line Ryan would switch to 'Mom' and 'Dad'. Sophie, as you say, is a perfect catalyst...

Hope you got your sleep! (As for 'Hart Break' -- it's in the works, but it's coming s.l.o.w.l.y.)

In this case it even are all icons I made myself.
Feel free to steal or make requests if you want a specific icon for your own journal. My icon-making skills are limited but some things I can manage.

Yes, you should! I wouldn't deceive someone so upstanding as she is.

And I actually had several comments on my notepad when the power went out last Friday. Can you say poof? Redoing is so irritating, but maybe I'll be more coherent and even eloquent if waaay tardy!
