Wow.

I have chills.

This part here: In the good dreams, Sandy lives…

He forgets Ryan, too.

Just...damn. I don't even know what to say. This wasn't a long story - it didn't need to be. The impact will be felt for awhile.

I'm going to say great job because it was - fantastic, chilling writing that packed one hell of a wallop.

Thank you -- your review packs a wallop, too! Cheers!

First you make me so happy with Hart Break update
and a few hours later you go and do the unthinkable. *glare*
And here I thought reading your stories was save for me.

I knew you'd be unhappy, but I had to go this way. I've had a problem with all that glass in the pool house in earthquake-prone California since the beginning of the series. It just never made sense to keep him out there, from a safety standpoint alone... (not to mention all the other reasons it was wrong.

So long as I don't post a warning, you'll still be safe with my stories...

Wow, very dark. Not just Sandy but Ryan too! Yes, that pool house was a dangerous place.

Good story, though very sad.

Thank you so much -- the pool house was lethal. Good thing in the series Ryan wasn't there when the earthquake struck!

If he was, any damage would hve been all his fault!

Oh wow!

This is so wrong. And yet so right as well. I hate to think of Ryan dying in any way but your take on things is all too easy to believe.

The last line is an absolute killer. Even after reading the story I wasn't prepared for it. Kirsten is an evil, evil woman.

I suspect that the impact of that last line will be with me for some time to come.

Kirsten had so much potential, but was so poorly written most of the time. Up until the final episode I held out hope that there would be that moment between Kirsten & Ryan that showed a caring, maternal Kirsten, but despite opportunities like Ryan being hurt and hospitalized not once but twice, the moment never came.

Consequently, I'm left with a cold and distant canon Kirsten... one who never really became the Kirsten that we love in fanfic.

Thanks for reading!

I actually said "Whoa" out loud when I got here: Not after he says what happened was all her fault. He says if she hadn’t stuck Ryan outside in the pool house they’d all still be alive.

Yeah...dark doesn't even begin to cover it!

ETA: I am now reading Hart Break and went back to Ch 8 to refresh my memory and came to this in one of your comments to me: They gave him a safe place to live (although if he'd been in the pool house during the earthquake, given how that thing shattered onscreen, he'd have been a goner!), and an opportunity to make something of himself.

AHAHAHA! So, is this where you got the inspiration?

Weird -- I responded to your review, but it seems to have disappeared! If you get two responses, that's why ( ... )

I enjoyed the coincidence here between the 2 stories and was so pleased with myself that I saw it given how late it was and the fact that I was working on little sleep the night before and had enjoyed a few glasses of wine.

You're absolutely correct that the pool house went down like it was made of nothing, and that Ryan surely would have been killed in canon.
