I RP on slow time, so consider it a laidback kinda RP - Me and Ray's mun still push things from last June back and forth when we're in the mood!

Elle was trying to make the call and still hear what was going on but really what did she care?

"CHASE I AM IN ARIZONA AT THE SUPERBOWL AND TOM PETTY IS PLAYING. WHO IS TOM PETTY? HE LOOKS PRETTY OLD, BUT HIS SONG IS PRE-" Elle dropped her phone and picked it up, "OH MY GOD I JUST DROPPED MY PHONE! I GOTTA GO!!!!!"

Chase smirked as he listened to the shouted message. He hit the return dial on his cell phone and ended up getting Elle's voicemail. "Sorry I missed your call... I was entertaining my medical staff. Don't go snapping any suspenders on other lads now. I might get jealous!" He hung up, shaking his head in amusement.

"Well, if you what you told me is true then you've been in touch already, Doc. It's not nice to call a girl up and tell her those things... Kinda makes me wanna be there. Anyway, this is me tellin' you that if you get a voice mail that's just some heavy breathin' and your name moaned real loud--that's me returnin' the favour."

"Hey, Doc... So, um, I'm really sorry for pulin' a Houdini or whatever. Mind you, it wasn't like you didn't know where I was. So, um, I'd like to come to your place. If you still want me there. I... I miss you, and the truth is... I need you. So... please, just let me know it's still okay. Okay?"

I really did want to apologize for how insensitive I was and I also wanted to extend to you an invite, Chase, sort of as a peace offering. Tonight, grand opening of McKenie/Howlett Investigations! I hope I see you and Rogue there. Open bar, free food - it's for friends and family and -- I hope we're still friends.

Don't worry about it. Next time just don't try to qualify people's feelings and emotions without really knowing anything. Making negative assumptions about your friends might just get you nowhere but lonely.

Thanks for the invite, but I don't think we can make it. Neither of us are in much of a frame of mind for mingling and are still spending time alone together to grieve, but congrats on the opening.
