I LOVE SALINGER.
i liked franny and zooey better than catcher in the rye.
but damn that crazy holden, i love him to pieces.

ditto that, especially the end of franny and zooey, made the mistake of reading that in school and then had to excuse self to bathroom to cry.
my personal favourite salinger is "a perfect day for bananafish". LOVE seymour glass.

I hated it when I first read it, too.

Then we had to read it in school a year later, and I realized it was a comedy.

Fall quarter I took a short stories class and one of the books was 7 Short Stories by J.D. And so many people would come up to me and be like "I loved that book." You don't know how many Seymour Glass jokes I heard that quarter.
