And this list makes me remember that. Do kids today even actually play with toys? Three years ago, I worked as a summer camp counselor. One day I suggested that I could bring in some of my old "board games" for entertainment.

I'm pretty sure I spent my entire 80s childhood playing with either Shrinky Dinks or my Speak and Spell. Looking back, neither are terribly exciting (although the Speak and SPell does have that creepy voice), yet both kept me fascinated for hours.

Looking back, Speak and Spell did have a creepy voice. But not as creepy as Teddy Ruxpin.

Oh man, my best friend had a Tedy Ruxpin when we were little and we banished it to a closet so it couldn't sneak out and eat our faces in the middle of the night with it's creepy snout. Whoever made that up should be banished to a closet also.
