The Highs and Lows of Billy Crawford

Aug 27, 2009 22:44

Our ad materials for the Jabbawockeez were all put on hold because apparently our International Pop and R&B sensation - Billy Crawford - is very sensitive when it comes to billing.

He has been dubbed as an international star, but does he even exude the standards that is deserving of an international star? Let me count the ways...of how he is not:

1. He doesn't do sound checks. I mean really. Isn't this supposed to be at the top of every singer's priority list? The staff would want to make sure that you would look and sound good on stage, so shouldn't the same courtesy be returned? which now leads me to...

2. He has to have a teleprompter. For pete's sake - he was going to sing his own friggin songs and he needs a teleprompter? This is even worse than discovering that Milli Vanilli has a ghost singer! Dear, you're not hosting ASAP. You're here to sing and dance. Period.

3. He (or maybe his manager) insinuates that he is an International star. Agreed - no one is challenging this. But then again, he was (or is) a star in some European countries. On second thought, he is now here in the Philippines. He is Filipino, who is now staying in the Philippines, which then makes him a local star. doesn't it?

I don't intend to bash his reputation. But if everyone is being inconvenienced by personal requests, don't you think it's time to rethink your priorities and set them straight.

Get a hold of yourself dear. You haven't even reached the top. You'll never know, you might find yourself at the bottom of the barrel.
