The first time I full-on cried was definitely with Dobby - I think she did everyone in with "Here lies Dobby, a free elf" - but the first time I teared up was when Hermione was talking about what she did in order to keep her parents safe. Just...ohmigosh. 'Mione. :'(

Harry being a Horcrux was a lame premise, but she made it work. 'Cause my whole thing about that theory had always been that Voldie is too smart and strong of a wizard to make a Horcrux by accident, and he wouldn't have done it on purpose if he was about to kill the kid. But then Jo made DD (which, btw, dead!Dumbledore in King's Cross? Super weird yet awesomely comforting, for Harry and me, thank you for that bone, Jo) explain about how weak and unstable Voldemort's soul was at that point, and it made sense. Not as hokey as I thought it would be. She did it right, thank God. :D ( ... )

The only thing I thought missing... we still never found out what James and Lily did as their professions. Or did I miss a hint in the book?

The saddest moment for me was Dobby's death. Enjoyed mostly the potterwatch broadcast and also the fact that the twins could still joke even though one of them (can't remember lol) had an ear cut off.

Also, confused, did Ron only have one arm throughout the whole book? He was splinched, Hermione just put that potion on it, I don't recall reading any more details on it. Thoughts?

Hi, btw.

I cried alot at the part where Harry reads the messages written at Godrics Hollow,("No, its brilliant, I'm glad they did...") and basically through the whole ending.

Just a question though: (spoiler, kind of) If Harry is a relative of Ignotis Peverell, and so are the Gaunts, are Harry and Voldemort distantly related?

Hiya, Corey.

I kind of picked that up. I guess the pureblood families were all intertwined at some point (ew.), so I guess that's what the deal is.
