Leverage/Angel: The Series, Eliot and Lindsey(brothers), Mistaken identity. PG
Alec was still reeling from meeting Mulder and Scully - in person! and Mulder knew who he was! - when the team took another job in LA. Eliot was grumbling about security risks and Parker talked about stopping off at the Getty and Sophie wanted to get some shopping in. Only Nate seemed to really care that some law firm was completely screwing everyone over.
Later Alec would blame everything on Agent Mulder. If Agent Mulder hadn't totally blown his mind, Alec wouldn't have volunteered to help Eliot scout out the law offices. And then Alec wouldn't have been so off his rocker as to not wonder what the hell was going on until it was over.. None of this was his fault.
Anyway, Alec had been busy telling Eliot about the new add-on for World of Warcraft and Eliot had been grunting back like he was actually paying attention for once. They were still a couple of blocks from Wolfram and Hart and weren't expecting anything serious. So they ignored the guy who kept yelling, "Lindsey." They were two guys after all and the man was looking for a girl, right?
Except the guy grabbed Eliot from behind - because he was seriously more suicidal than anyone Alec ever met - and said, "Lindsey! I thought you were dead!"
Eliot let out one of the low growling noises that always preceded someone getting knocked unconscious and then the fight was on. Alec took three steps backward and whipped out his phone. The other guy could fight and this definitely had to go up on YouTube. It was like a real life kung-fu movie.
And when Eliot finally had the guy pinned to the ground, with his knee on his neck, he did something very un-Eliot-like. He said, "If I figure out which one of you sorry sons of bitches killed my brother, you're deader than you've ever been, vamp." And then he punched him out.
Alec did put the video up on YouTube, after blurring out the faces. And they did get the money back for the victims. But Eliot kept getting called Lindsey by fucking everyone and punched a lot of people. And then made Nathan promise to stop taking jobs in LA.
