Masterpost Jack was just finally dozing off, snuggled up in his sheets when his cell phone buzzed loudly on the table next him. He groaned and reached over blindly, feeling around the table and knocking a few things over in search for the object. He flipped it open once he'd found it, not bothering to look at the caller ID.
"Hello?" he mumbled into the speaker and listened for the response.
"Dude," Rian barked. Jack had feared it would be him; he didn't want to deal with his best friend until the next morning. "What did you do to Zack?"
"Ugh," he groaned. "Rian leave me alone, this isn't my fault."
"He called me crying, Jack and you know why. Tell me," Rian demanded through the phone and Jack mentally cursed himself for ever inviting Zack over in the first place.
"He tried to kiss me, Ri. It's not my fucking fault that I'm not gay! I just told him to leave because I didn't know what to do."
"He kissed you?" Rian asked after a second of silence and Jack growled under his breath.
"Yes, but fuck that! This isn't my fault and I'm the one paying for it," he complained back and Rian sighed.
"Yeah, I'm sorry. I know that it's not your fault but he just sounded so upset."
"I get that Ri but he just jumped me. What do I do now?"
"Oh chill, drama queen. Just talk to him tomorrow," Rian suggested and Jack could hear him laugh quietly. "That's gunna be so awkward for you two."
"Shut up," Jack huffed and shut the phone before throwing it to the corner of his room where it landed safely on his clothes pile.
--
"Mornin'," Rian greeted as Jack hopped into the passenger seat of his car, huffing as he did.
"Thanks, for picking me up, Ri. My mom's not feeling well and she doesn't like me driving her car much." He reached down to dust off his purple tee shirt, noticing that the piece of fuzz simply landed then on his black skinnies and he sighed, giving up on it.
"Sure, sure. Your car's still not working?"
"No," Jack sighed. "I work next week so hopefully I can make some money of my own though."
After a second of feeling Rian's gaze on him, Jack glanced out of the corner of his eye, scowling when he did.
"What?" he snapped, challenging the other to say something as he fiddled his thumbs in his lap.
"You look a little...worn," Rian said after choosing his words carefully but Jack sneered anyway.
"Well, I'm sorry that we're not all mentally okay after a best friend attacks you," he scoffed, holding up his hands, palms to Rian in gesture.
"Oh, chill. You're the biggest drama queen I know for not being gay," Rian teased though he knew it was completely true. "Maybe you should just talk to him about it."
"That's a negative, Ramirez," Jack drawled and Rian tipped his head back to laugh. "No way, I'm not about be jumped by Captain Buttsex."
Rian shot him an eye roll. "Jesus, Jack. He's probably never even done that. Where we both know you've definitely preformed anal intercourse." Rian held his first and middle finger and bending them in the general quotation gesture.
Jack shuddered at the words, sticking out his tongue in mock disgust. "Don't talk like that, Ri."

Zack peered around the row of lockers and saw him, running his fingers through his pretty raven hair as he flirted with that girl, that Haley chick that he liked so much. He'd always had a thing for the bright colored attention whores.
Either way, Zack refused to be seen by the elder, whether it made him late to class or not. Damn the person who put their lockers so close together and not give Zack a way to get around with being noticed. He made a mental note to build a trap door there the next time.
"C'mon, Jack. We're skipping today to hang at the mall," Haley said, rubbing Jack's arm suggestively. Zack glanced over at the clock, realizing that he was already almost six minutes late. He bit his lip, wishing the bitch would hurry up but she didn't. He figured that he had to chance it, moving out into the open hallway and trying to make it to his locker unnoticed. He failed.
"That sounds," Jack started to answer her question when he locked eyes with Zack for a second. "I skipped yesterday. I should probably stay today," he finished with a different answer and gave her a little apologetic smile. She returned it and headed off down the hall and out the front doors in escape.
Jack sighed, contemplating walking a few steps over to Zack's locker to confront him but decided against it, trailing off to his Science instead.
--
"Anyway, you have no idea, Jack," Kyle said, trailing off into something else dramatically.
Jack wasn't having it today; he wasn't in mood to humor the boy beside him. He wasn't in the mood for anything but getting out of school of he were being honest. God forbid another run-in with Zack, even if they hadn't even spoken.
He couldn't get the thought of kissing Zack out of his head, as much as that terrified him. The boy's warm lips had seemingly made an impression on him, one that he just wanted to get rid of. More than anything, he could see how disappointed Zack was when he pushed his away - threw him out - and the image was stuck behind his eye lids.
"Hey, you're gay, right?" Jack interrupted suddenly and Kyle closed his mouth after a second of just holding it open in sheer shock that Jack had cut him off. His bright blue eyes were suddenly off on something else, blonde brows knitting together in the middle.
"Yeah, but I was talking, Jack. I know it's not important to you but you should at least try to listen to what I'm saying," he said quietly, folding his hands in his lap.
Jack pursed his lips with a little apologetic smile. He didn't care all that much but for the sake of getting the boy to listen, he figured it was worth apologizing. "I'm sorry, Kyle. But do you think you can help me with something?"
Kyle considered it for a second before smiling and nodding for him to continue. What could Jack say; the boy was pretty easy to please as most girls were.
"Okay, you're gay, right?" Kyle nodded sheepishly, reaching up to nervously drag his fingers through his platinum blonde hair, blue eyes darting around the room like Jack might ask him how to preform anal.
"Okay, so, let's say I have this guy friend who may or may not have a huge crush on me," Jack started, rubbing at the back of his neck, giving an uncomfortable smile.
"Ah, right," Kyle said, rolling his blue eyes. "And being the predictable straight boy that you are, you think that you can just push him away and it'll just disappear, right?"
Jack shook his head, scoffing. "No, I don't. It's just that-" he started but Alex picked that to be the time that he waltzed into the room, walking around to his desk and setting his messenger bag down into his swivel chair.
"Here," Kyle said, gaining Jack's attention for a second as he scribbled down his number onto a small sheet of paper. "You can call tonight and we'll talk about it."
Jack paused, staring at the piece of paper in his hand for second. Even after a week or so of Jack completely being a total ass to the boy, he was going to go out of his way to listen to what Jack had to say? He couldn't comprehend but he;d take the help anyway. He reached forward and plucked the paper from his hand with a little smile.
"Alright, guys," Alex started, straightening his tie as he perched himself on the surface of his front desk. "Hand in the homework, find a partner and get started on the board assignment."
Jack reached into his bag and pulled out the homework sheet, only to see that it was completely blank - save for his name on the line at the top. He knew this wouldn't go over well with Alex. Fuck, he'd preached the entire first day he was there about getting homework in on time and it was only a few days in before Jack screwed up.
He gulped back a suddenly nervous wad of spit and as people around the room began talking, Jack stood. He crossed his arms over his chest as he looked up, stopping in front of Alex and offering a little smile. If he played this right, he might be able to get away with a slap on the wrist.
"I, uh, I accidentally left my home work," he said, pausing for a second as Alex cocked an eyebrow. "At home."
Alex pursed his lips for second, considering any options as he shifted on top of his desk. He didn't look pleased, Jack would admit. "Did you complete it?"
Jack nodded, lying easily but Alex gave him a little smirk.
"What was the first question on the sheet?" he asked, tilting his head to the side and holding his mouth open an inch or so. Jack opened his lips to answer but shut them again after a second, silently confirming the lie.
"That's what I thought," Alex said, standing and strolling around the desk to sit in his chair. "Pull up a seat."
Jack gulped back the nervous spit again, pulling a chair from a vacated desk and scooting it close to the mahogany desk, placing his hands in his lap as he bit back the urge to become defensive and bitey.
"Listen, Jack. I'm pretty disappointed that you didn't finish your home work, but I'm even more upset that you then proceeded to lie to me about it."
"I looked at it and tried to figure it out but it's fucking hard," Jack argued, completely lying again. I there were anyway to get around being in a negative spotlight at that moment, he'd find it. Normally he'd jump for the chance to be seen like that but when he was actually wrong it was a different story. Alex rolled his eyes.
"I won't have that language," the elder objected, obviously referring to Jack's f-bomb slur and Jack scowled.
"You said we could!"
"I said that you could use that language if you got your homework in. Don't argue with me, Jack. Since it's so damn hard for you, I'm requesting you to stay after today so I can help you understand the work better," Alex said, matter-of-factly, crossing one leg over the other with a serious look on his features. "Not showing will result in a detention."
Jack pursed his lips, biting back harsh words. Instead he stood, locking eyes with Alex quickly before going to sit in his seat. He couldn't decide if he wanted to punch him or climb on his lap.
