Just a quickie, why in remote parts of Scotland (including islands separate from the mainland) do they get two collections a day at reasonable hours, at all postboxes not just the ones at post offices, yet in one of the country's biggest cities we only get a collection at around 6pm unless we traipse into town and brave the chavs and go to the main ( Read more... )

Don't even get me started on the sodding post office. I remember laughing at the daftness of period dramas when they get the post delivered at 10pm; until my parents pointed out that no really that's what happened. Now we feel grateful to find a post office that hasn't been shut. This comment got delayed in the post by the way...

He he. I once got off my bus at 8pm to find the postie still doing his rounds - in inner city Leeds!
