It’s been confirmed:
Channel Ten has purchased and will be screening Torchwood
later this year…

While I’m very happy that it will be screened at all in Australia (after the ABC passed on the rights), I am more than a little concerned about how it will fare when removed from it’s association with its parent program, Doctor Who ( Read more... )

Or maybe you just don't want your baby being liked by more people :P
By liked, i mean "You cant possibly like like it, you don't even understand it you dolt!!!

Is that not the case with all people that love their little bands - like, you know, the knife - and then it gets circulated and tramped on by the goth scene and i never play them anymore!

Same difference.

Oh please!! I think it’d be great if more people liked it! More people who watching = good ratings = more money to make new episodes = Happy, happy, happy me! :D … I’m just worried that it might not catch on if people don’t understand it or get confused by the references to things that happened in Doctor Who… :(

Gah! That damned Goth scene and its spoiling of otherwise cool things! :P

I watched the first two episodes of Torchwood and stopped. I didn't think it was that great. Not that I'm putting down BBC programs, I'm just no into it. But then again I haven't seen the new series of Doctor Who either.

My point exactly! Without knowledge of the current Doctor Who universe and associated events, so much of the sub-text in Torchwood will be missed! :(

BTW… Do I know you? You’ve commented on a couple of my posts now, and I’m wondering how you found your way to my tiny corner of lj… Not complaining or criticising, just curious :)

No I don't think so. Well, I hope not. If I say no and it turns out I've met you, that could be really awkward.

I read my friends of friends page when I get bored at work. :)

I do my best to read the internet. I've been told the ending is fantastic.
