it probably wouldnt have hit me how important this holiday weekend is. between the rush of getting fireworks, planning picknicks and get-togethers with family and friends we tend to forget what this weekend is all about, and had i took a second to stop and pray for the troops out there fighting for our freedom, fighting to keep the terrorists out

My only real problem with this is that in no way are the troops in Iraq fighting for our freedom, and they're certainly not the ones keeping terrorists out of our every day lives. If I have to have an army battalion follow me around to keep me safe, I'm better off moving to Canada. That's the NSA and FBI's jobs.. You have to remember, a lot of "terrorist" attacks that have happened on American soil have come from registered American citezens. Just becuase someone is Middle Eastern, living in Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, et al., doesn't make them a terrorist.

I completely knowd how you feel.. well not exactly, but sorta. My cousin was in a car explosion over there and it shattered his jaw and led him into two weeks of extensive surjury on his eye and jaw! Stay sweet and never stop caring about others!
