CHARACTER
Name: Denmark - Søren Andersen
Canon: Axis Powers Hetalia
Timeline:1815
Notes: About Denmark's personality: Surveys say that he is the happiest nation in the world. He is often oblivious and does not get the negative meaning of what others say a lot (which is probably partly a survival instinct after spending centuries with Norway, Iceland and Sweden's face). I noticed that especially the 3rd person sample turned out rather negative. That part of his personality isn't less true than the cheerful one, but it is a part that will hardly show on the outside (and thus in game), and that he will not easily admit to. Yes, he can be bitter, and violent, and jealous, and can hold grudges for a long time, but that will not show often, and he will not show it easily. That is, except for telling everyone how much Sweden sucks, and even that he does in a cheerful tone most of the time, nearly jokingly, as if he isn't just insulting someone - which really, is the way in which he usually insults people. Not because he is angry at them, but because he seems to lack the filters there that he has too much when listening to others' insults and rejections.
tl;dr what I wanted to say is that, no matter what one would think looking at the introspective part, Denmark is a genuinely happy character. It's not façade, but no sentient being not even Tohru Honda can be happy 24/7, and a lot of shit has happened to him in the last 15 years. If you'd like to, you can see short d_m threads with this muse from the century that I'll take him from

here and
here.
And about the samples: I hope they are okay this way, I think I saw something somewhere that permitted any kind of scenario but when I looked for it to be sure I couldn't find it again.
First Person:
Sample I
[There is a face, blue eyes, nose, an a bit absent-minded grin, a bit of an ear and blond hair. Not much else, really, because Denmark is holding the
watch as close to his face as possible, trying to figure out what it is.
He's humming to himself, and one can hear that his voice is a quite nice one- at least for the first couple of minutes, because he seems to have forgotten
most of the song (this is not true, the truth is that he is concentrating on something else and while better at multitasking than some, he certainly isn't
the greatest - and since he doesn't expect anyone to be listening, why should he care? Not that he would if there wa) and always repeats the same line. Over
and over again. This way, after a while the voice isn't as nice any more because it just gets really obnoxious with time.
You'll get a few minutes of that, until he looses patience with the device and drops it into his lap, and the next view is of the sky.]
I really wanna know what that lameass did now. [Because everything is Sweden's fault. He's not sure why, but that does not change the fact that Sweden is always a possible culprit . And then Denmark jumps to his feet, the motion more than enough to throw the watch to the ground.] I have ta find Nor!
Sample II
Hey, hey, hey!
Guess what is tomorrow? [He doesn't even know half of what "is" tomorrow, since those things haven't happened yet, not for him. But!] Tomorrow's my birthday! And I wanna go out and party and get drunk, and ya all are coming, too!
[And if he knows you, you will get dragged along even if you say no. He's used to that from his family, centuries of dragging Sweden into fun like that, and later Norway, and probably Iceland and others.]
Third Person:
"See ya!" He slinks out of his king's office, bidding goodbye to the secretaries more formally than he did him, and then he's outside, walking down the corridor and breathing deeply when he arrives outside, letting the smile drop from his features for a moment. Hearing humans refer to his brother as Sweden-Norway, as if he - no. Not his brother. Not any more, though it is hard, really hard to forget that, and at the same time it is hard to hide how bitter he is about it. He cannot be. Because the moment that Sweden has stolen his happiness, he has won. And he won't let him.
They have to meet tomorrow. Have to talk. And he is sure that Sweden will mention Norway, because he has to, because they cannot just ignore him. Mention the man that Denmark cares about most and that Sweden stole from him with that smug expression on his face, and Denmark will want to bash it in but he cannot, they have to be civil now and really, he is tired of it. Curse England. Curse France.
It's not that hard, right? All he wants is his family complete and together, his land back, his spouse back. He wants -
It's no use, and he knows that. And he has things to do. Do something for himself, for his people. He nods, and the grin slides back into place as if it has never been gone as he thinks of the ideas that he has for that, of the warm feeling in is guts that tells him that somewhere out there, there are people of his that will make things look up.
He steps out into the street and greets the people that pass by like the happiest guy in the world. Because anything else will only make him look like Sweden, and seriously, there is something that he certainly doesn't want to become. Today will be a good day.
