IC Information:
Name: Evangelyne
Fandom: Wakfu
Timeline: Post episode 16
Age: 17
Appearance:
Evangelyne is of average height for a 17-year old, if not a bit taller than average. She has a fair complexion, with blonde hair (usually put up into odd, clipped up ponytail), freckles and green eyes. Eva also has elven features. Well, one. She has long, pointed ears. She prefers to wear clothing that allows for free and easy movement, and gloves to protect her hands from the strings of her bow. She also is of the general body type of women of the Wakfu universe, affectionately called "dem hips." Which is to say that she has wide hips and is rather busty. Eva herself doesn't really see it, though.

Also, The one on the left.

Abilities:
Evangelyne is a member of the Cra race, which is Wakfu's archer class. She has an enchanted bow that is able to produce arrows with various effects, such as freezing a surface on contact, causing rain when being shot into a cloud, etc.. Though changed or modified for the TV series, her arrows essentially correspond with the ones listed here. However, without her specially made bow, she can't use any of them, obviously.

Otherwise, she's a skilled acrobat, fighter, and normal (AKA non-magical) archer, but has no magical abilities.

Personality:
Evangelyne is your stereotypical elf, in a way. She's aloof, but overall kind, emotionally and physically strong and has a strong sense of loyalty to her allies. She's really the complete opposite of her charge Amalia in every way. Where Amalia is feminine, trendy and sweet, Evangelyne is a tomboy who thinks about practicality first and is, well, tsundere.

And just like you would expect from a tsundere, she has her good and bad points. On the bad side, Eva is somewhat abrasive, with little patience for people she deems below her (or just stupid) and will berate them for their failings while not really looking at her own. Really, Evangelyne isn't terribly self-aware, looking at others long before she'll look within herself. These things get her into trouble with others since she's the kind of person that will say something harsh or belittle someone playfully without seeing that her words are hurting them. Eva doesn't belittle others to be mean, but rather, it's a sign of endearment, since she's comfortable enough to joke with you. A stranger or acquaintance will be met with a no-nonsense young woman who doesn't seem to have time to joke around. It doesn't take much for her to open up to people, though.

On the good side, Eva is fiercely loyal. Once you do endear yourself to her, she'll fight along-side you if you're capable, and protect you if you're not. She does tend to step on toes at first and assume that she's more capable than surrounding parties until proved otherwise, but... she's generally one of the more capable ones. But once she's fought alongside someone and seen that they can hold their own, she backs off. She's also very level-headed and brings a stoic point of view to any kind of argument, which is helpful with the very passionate people she tends to hang out with.

As for herself, Eva is sort of... oblivious to how people see her. Eva is very pretty, but when dressed up like a princess, she just feels awkward, as far as to consider herself ugly because of her lack of grace in such clothing. She's perfectly willing to let Amalia take the feminine route, since she just prefers comfort. She also tends to push her personal feelings to the side since she's so focused on logical and practical aspects, and when she's in a tough situation, she doesn't like to ask for help because of her pride.

Eva's serious nature is a part of her rigorous training as a Cra-one of the races within the word of Wakfu. The Cra's motto is "pride and precision," both of which Eva takes to heart. Her fierce pride is the sort of stereotypical elven trait, but Cra also value perfection. Unsurprisingly, Eva is a bit of a perfectionist and prefers things be done at 100% than half-way. Well, as long as she personally cares about it. She does tend to get pushed around by her friends, but if they're doing something she doesn't care about (say, Boufball), she'll definitely try, but not necessarily her absolute best.

So, overall, Evangelyne is a very proud young Cra, but one that you would definitely want on your side. Her fierce loyalty and understated gentility and kindness to those she considers dear makes her a valuable friend. But her skills as a warrior, her level-headed nature and skill, make her an equally valuable ally. Yet, her lack of self-awareness and her tendency to put other people before herself hinders her at times, asserting that she can't be quite as independent as she likes to think of herself. She's far from perfect, but Evangelyne can be the best friend you could ever hope for.

History:
An undetermined time before Eva was born, the Sadida people formed an alliance with the Cra people. Which isn't remotely surprising, because it's a race of tree-hugging hippies and elves. But anyways, as a part of the alliance, Evangelyne was sent to the Sadida village at a young age (around nine or ten) to act as the bodyguard to Princess Amalia. We only know of select scenes from their childhood, but we know that Eva was quite dedicated to this task and despite their differences, Eva and Amalia because very good friends, though Eva had the tendency to view Amalia as her charge rather than a friend at times.

But our story begins with Eva and Amalia setting out on a journey because Amalia had a prophetic dream from the god Sadida, telling her to set out on a journey. Amalia was determined to go, since she wanted to see the world and be free, and Eva had essentially no choice but to go along. Though, it doesn't seem like Eva did too much to convince her otherwise. They presumably had an uneventful journey until they arrived in the aptly named Forbidden Forest where, of course, they ran into trouble.

Amalia was certain that some cute creatures that they ran into were harmless though Eva thought otherwise, and Eva was right. They fought the little creatures, though they were greatly outnumbered, but a group of adventurers bust in and luckily, helped them out. Amalia decided that these were the people that Sadida had said she was destined to meet, and so Evangelyne met Yugo, the young, energetic boy, Ruel the greedy Enutrof, and Tristepin (or, Sadlygrove. Yay translations!) the Iop.

The three adventurers had come into the forest trying to find out where these cute little monsters were coming from, since they were turning people into plants in Yugo's village. Amalia was able to find out from a large, sentient tree that the tree was rather displeased with machines that looked like bugs that were draining away his life (Wakfu). But luckily Amalia healed the tree and convinced him to return the people of Yugo's village (and Tristepin) back to normal.

When they returned to the village together, they found a Xelor (time-mage) named Nox. He asked both Yugo and his foster father where a dragon named Grougaloragran was, but neither of them had an answer. Yugo's father managed to chase him away, but Yugo himself decided to find his true family on an island called Oma.

And, of course, Amalia jumped on the chance to stay away from the kingdom longer.

So they began their journey, which was filled with strange situations and people. Some highlights included dressing up as ugly princesses to save Tristepin from his own stupidity (a common quest), Eva having her shadow stolen by a vampire wanting to use her body as a vessel for his demon (Shushu)-possessed ring, Amalia getting poisoned to the point of almost-death and entering a sports tournament to win enough money to buy a boat to go to Oma.

But with all of those smaller adventures out of the way, the party of adventurers made their way to Oma, where the plot really kicks in. Here, they met the two dragons, Grougaloragran and Adamaï. Adamaï revealed that Nox was tracking down Grougaloragran to take his Wakfu using something called an Eliacube. Of course, Nox suddenly appeared, and the heroes attempted to fight, but Grougaloragran teleported them away.

Roleplay Sample - Log:
It's a blur when she wakes up.

Evangelyne was getting used to this scenario, in all honesty. It was a pattern of getting into some kind of peril with the odd band of friends that she and the princess had acquired, to being kidnapped to a strange place. That was almost like routine, at this point.

But, usually, she at least had her weapon.

When she'd woken up, it was reflex to pat her back for her bow and ready herself for any kind of battle. But in this new place, she'd pat it to see that nothing was there, and her reaction was nothing short of horror. For a Cra, there was nothing more precious than their bow, for each one was specially made for each Cra. It was more than a weapon, it was like another partner in battle. So, for it to be gone was...

Evangelyne stood, taking a deep breath. Her chest had clenched and her throat had tightened with emotion. But this was no time to cry. Surely, it was just in the hands of one of her Iop-head friends. That was what was important right now.

She had to find Princess Amalia and the others. Then they could deal with this creepy place, like usual.

That was the only way to think about it.

Roleplay Sample - Journal:
[The feed at first reveals a young elven woman looking simply distraught.]

My... My bow... [But that distraught expression quickly turns to rage] Where. Is. My. BOW?!

I swear, in Grovy and Yugo are playing with it again, I'll-- I'll!

[She sighs, pinching her brow to regain her composure.] Eugh, I don't even want to think about what I'll do to them. But, most importantly, can someone tell me where I am? That dragon teleported us, but it seems like he did a poor job of it.

[Now she's all business, but still looking quite dubious about this whole situation]

I'm also looking for the rest of my party. A Sadida girl named Amalia, a boy named Yugo, a greedy Enutrof named Ruel, a little dragon and... [Her expression drops more] A true Iop-head named "Sir" Sadlygrove Percedal. That's certainly how he'll introduce himself.

[She sighs again, looking briefly worried before adding on,]

...Erm, just tell them that Evangelyne is looking for them. Thank you very much.
