CHARACTER
✧ NAME: "Babydoll" (Alias; Real name unknown)
✧ SERIES: Sucker Punch
✧ HISTORY: Wrote my own
here!
✧ TIMELINE: When the girls are getting the knife from the chef. Instead of going to the futuristic world, Babydoll shows up alone in Il Promenade.
✧ PERSONALITY:
Babydoll is, above all, an enigma. She's withdrawn from the world, which is why she creates not one, but two fantasy worlds to retreat to so that she doesn't have to deal with the harsh reality of facing a lobotomy within a week after her family is all killed. For all of these things to happen so quickly, she's certainly traumatized, but her trauma is subtle. The fantasies that she creates for herself are what shape her now, and the girl that she was before her mother and sister died-That doesn't matter anymore. That girl is gone, leaving only "Babydoll."
She's a very strong girl, both physically and mentally. Though the dream worlds are an escape, we do learn at the end of the movie that all of the events of the brothel really did take place in the asylum. Babydoll is not a passive woman by any means. Given an impossible situation, she doesn't sit back and lament, she fights. Her fighting isn't reckless either, it's very calculated and planned out as much as she possibly can. She's clever and definitely smart, though she doesn't usually overtly show it.
This is likely because Babydoll is rather shy. She's the kind of person that doesn't speak unless spoken to, but can muster up confidence to take a leadership role when she has to (like in the brothel/asylum). She's quiet and withdrawn, which is likely, when coupled with her young appearance, why she got the nickname "Babydoll." She also doesn't like for people to see her weaknesses, thus why she waits until why everyone's asleep on her first night to cry alone in the bathroom.
In terms of flaws, Babydoll isn't as rational as, say, Sweetpea. While Sweetpea is afraid of the consequences of their plan, Babydoll is willing to risk everything to accomplish it. Unfortunately, this does include the other girls' lives, though this is far from intentional on her part. She needs their help to escape, yet her desire to leave is mostly selfish. The girls that help her can follow her to escape, but ultimately, she just wants to escape her lobotomy/deflowering. This is later something she regrets, but at this canon point, their plan is almost done.
She's also very conscious of herself, though this awakens mostly after the first time she dances. Babydoll's dance is hypnotic, and she knows the effect it has on people, and this is the main point of their plan to escape. She uses her sex appeal to her advantage, though ultimately, she's still very uncomfortable with her sexuality. According to Emily Browning (Babydoll's actress), the step-father we see at the beginning sexually abused Babydoll, which is why the brothel replaces the asylum in her mind; a place where her sexuality is on display is the most frightening thing for her, and one that she wants to escape with all of her heart.
So, overall, Babydoll is a damaged girl. She's withdrawn because of the traumas of her past and her present, but this doesn't stop her from having an incredible amount of fight. She's willing to do whatever it takes to accomplish her goals, whether it means dancing on a stage or being ruthless on a fictional battlefield. She creates illusions for herself to cope, but the young woman inside does occasionally seep through when she's with the other girls. She's sympathetic and kind, but all of those positive traits will disappear in an instant when faced with adversity. She'll kill if she has to, but ultimately, she just wants to be free.
✧ ABILITIES/POWERS:
Okay, as it may or may not be obvious from the history, Sucker Punch is kind of an odd canon. Since I'm sort of making the game equivalent to the third level of Babydoll's dream world(s), I'd like for her to have the abilities she has there. If that's not okay, then this section is moot, since she's just a normal girl.
In this level of dream world, however, Babydoll is a superwoman. She's able to wield her sword and gun with an amazing amount of accuracy, and has some super strength and reaction times. These allow her to beat up giant stone samurai and dodge machine gun fire by jumping over it. She's also fairly resistant to physical damage, and it seems like only blades and bullets can or will hurt her, since she can get thrown into a wall with no damage.

A knife is all she has to find.
But it's a bit more difficult than that. She didn't exactly think of obtaining the previous items as easy, but that man was always there to guide them. So at least there was that. It was usually just a matter of taking her mind to that place and finding the strength she needed inside to dance. This fantasy was a bit different, but she didn't mind it.
It was just a bit weird in comparison. She'd opened her eyes to a beautiful world, but found that she couldn't speak. That didn't bother her much. She wasn't really much of a talker unless she had to be anyways. What was really weird was looking through a mirror and seeing the world moving in slow motion, seeing herself dancing for the chef. It bothered her, so she had turned it against the wall so that she didn't have to see that. It was better to just take in this fantasy as it was.
Though, it reminded her of something. The way the mirror worked and the complexity of this fantasy, it was just like Wonderland. In the back of her mind, a memory came to her of reading it to her younger sister, but the thought was quickly pushed away. It was better to not think about that.
Still, there wasn't any time to dilly-dally. There was work to be done, even without the wise man to guide her to her goal. The girl grabbed her pistol more tightly in her hand, checked the katana on her back, and set out of her room, looking to find some answers. She was sure that the strange little device that she had found held some answers too, but she couldn't make heads or tails of it right now. It seemed better to just concentrate on finding the wise man, or any of the other girls. It was a lot to worry about all at once, but the focus meant that she wasn't very concerned.
After all, there was always some logic to Wonderland.
