I have spent the better part of the last 36 hours babysitting Tynesha through the early stages of heroin withdrawal. Not a picnic. *hug* god. i hope her memory of what she went through to kick will keep her from going back. kicking heroin is by far the worst thing about the stuff, as far as damage to your body goes.

i wish i had something reassuring to say about when to stop worrying. i think... well, how do i put this. she is, in a way, your kid. i figure as a mom, i am going to worry as long as i am alive on this earth, approximately.

I'll always worry about her generally. I just wonder if I'll ever decide to believe she has kicked. I'm even worried about how much better she was feeing this morning. I'm pretty sure I would have heard her if she snuck out of the house, but....

Congratulations to Tynesha for making a start, and to you for being a friend and helping. It's not easy to watch, and it's not always easy to be there... (let alone easy to do ( ... )

first of all, we did go to the ER when it got hairy. The doc said it was safe to come down with a friend since that's the only drug she does. He prescribed something that helped a tiny, tiny bit with her agitation.

I have Jen scoping out the best NA meetings. I told Tyne i'm taking her tonight, since she's so much better.

BTW, can I just take this opportunity to once again admire the shite outta you for being there in this huge way for her? You are an amazing person.
