This story is now my most favorite memory that I wasn't actually there for. Man, I wish I had been in y'all's chemistry class. The most exciting thing that ever happened in ours was when Eric Dill removed himself from class because he couldn't stop laughing every time Mrs. Warren kept saying "cockstop" while explaining how to do some experiment. (Honestly though, I think Mrs. Warren was doing it on purpose.) Right, > linoleum floor song.
I think I got into zombies when I watched the original B&W version of Night of the Living Dead with my Dad. As best as I can recall, the scariest thing I'd seen up til then had been Are You Afraid of the Dark? So of course, it was quite a shock. But it wasn't actually that gory a movie all things considered. I think what was most fascinating about it was that it was a movie that was scary because the biggest threat were not the zombies themselves, but the humans making everything worse.
I think you're a awesome friend always (yes, a awesome), but it is often extra-apparent when you perform random acts of friendship, like bringing me my favorite ice cream in the middle of the night when I was moving out of the old apartment.
