elf and brethren

The article about eleven overlooks the fact that other Germanic languages have similar words. German has "elf" and "zwölf". This indicates, at least, that "eleven" and "twelve" are not of specifically Old English origin.

And about "idren": It's usually "bridren" or "bredren" which comes from "brethren".
