*hugs* try some melitonen? it's safe, and on an empty tummy it works quick :) you just can't take it everyday only when you need it. like tonight :) we give it to noah so he can get to sleep.
I've experienced insomnia off and on for the past several years (i've had a phase of it for the past several months). This is odd for me, because for most of my life, I've been one of those people who can fall asleep with lights on, TV on, any kind of distraction. I've never been pregnant, so I can't totally sympathize, but it does suck. I know I don't function fully when I have periods of sleep deprivation, put being pregnant (which i'm sure is tiring enough) and working 50+ hours/wk - you should get a medal!
Some tips i've heard: keep the lights low/dim an hour or so before your bedtime. Try and take a warm bath (or maybe shower) right before bedtime. Maintaining the body heat from this is suppose to help as well. And, if you can avoid it, which I know is hard with a tight schedule, but try to do a relaxing activity before bed time. I think sometimes I work on school stuff way to late and then I can't shut my brain off when it's time to go to bed. Hope this helps!
