Fucking hell, I can't believe this shit passed. I'm just hoping this means that now the issue will finally make its way to the Supreme Court-like Loving v. Virginia and the ban on interracial marriage-and be found equally unconstitutional. :|

We can only hope. :( Oh well, I mean, I always believed that you can love someone without needing to get married (straight or gay). I do believe that option to be open to those who want it, though.

As per any legislation regarding gay marriage. It's fear/hate driven. People who either choose to not understand or vote one way because someone told them to.

Allowing gay couples to marry adds to the institution of marriage, not detract. If anything that's something that Massachusetts has proven. Gay marriage has been used to divide or distract people from actual issues.

With every great step forward with this country, there's always one or two steps back in some states. An unfortunate reality, but I am hopeful as our generations move forward, this legacy of hate will end.

Hey chaz, long time no chat. Personally, it really pisses me off. Religion can do whatever the want, but the governmental institution of marriage should be equalized with all of the benefits afforded to everyone married by the state. Gromble.
