Best Forgotten, a Fic for Brandy, Pt. 9

Oct 31, 2009 18:29

More like a Halloween trick than a treat, this update.

I've had little time to write recently and even less inspiration, but I wanted to post at least a mini-update before the month ended. So here it is, mini indeed. In every way.

DisclaimerStill AU (oh, that nasty Caleb!), and the characters? Still not mine.

oh yeah - trip up that Evil! Caleb!

BTW- by now? I think we can start claiming the characters! We've taken better care of them long enough. We can Cohen them now.

We can claim the characters? Oooh, I'll take Ryan!!! And I'm sure you'll take good care of Seth. (*scurries away, smiling wickedly*)

So the first step is done, the Cohen-1 gang is working and I hope there will be soon a Cohen+1 gang again.
Thank you for the update, I still enjoy reading OC fics.

I'm so glad. I know our little fandom is dwindling (sigh), but the Cohens+1 still have a place in my heart. So I guess I should try to reunite them here, yes?

While this may have been mini in length (but only by degrees in so much as we are so used to your lovely, lengthy writings) there was nothing mini about the content. You have furthered the plot with this transitional chapter and cleared the way for a much more intense one to follow...right?

Kiki needs to remember that ellusive bit of Cal-badery!!!

I don't know about lovely, but lengthy? Yep, (rueful grin) that sums up my style. But I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. And hee! to "Cal-badery"! Love it!

It's taken me ages to have enough time to sit at the computer to read this. I found Kirsten's slow realization that her father may be involved riveting and painful. Watching her realize that her foster son's disappearance may be because of her father... well... I'm poised for Kirsten's reaction when her worst fears are realized.

Aw, famous, I'm flattered that you took the time to read this during a baby break! Thanks. And I'm glad you find Kirsten's situation emotionally involving because it's so hard for me to find the right tone writing it. And it will be a major challenge when she finally realizes the truth. Wish me luck!

I love reading your fiction. (Still waiting for the great YA novel, so I can say I knew her when!)
I wish you much luck.... and hope for an update soon.
