Best Forgotten, Part 36. Fin?

Really, no April Fool's joke. This could be the end. I actually have part of another chapter written (actually written last summer before my old computer died, taking most of the ending I had planned with it). But for those of you who are ready for this epic to be over, feel free to read it as complete. I may add more to the story--at least finish ( Read more... )

For the first time since they had found him, it seemed to Sandy that he looked like himself-not the wary, watchful Ryan Atwood who still too often seemed to walk a tightrope in their lives, but the candid, artless teen that he and Kirsten sometimes glimpsed in his rare, spontaneous smiles or, more often, in playful moments with Seth. well, that's a relief!
love the refs to flickering smiles throughout and the last lines are golden

should you write more - awesome! Many thanks for the faithful writing of this

As always, fred, your response makes me feel beyond flattered. Thank you so much for your faithful reading and commenting and your unceasing support. (And there may indeed be more--a few loose ends I feel driven to tie up. But maybe not by the end of the month!)

TBC would be lovely but I understand. You have to understand that your faithful audience will still be here.

Perfect ending - I have tears in my eyes. It had to end with Kirsten and Ryan at peace.

Yays !

Aw, Chic, I'm so glad you liked the ending! This story did wind up revolving around Ryan and Kirsten, so I had to give them the final scene. (If that was the final scene--however will I purge the tensions of the work day without being able to submerge them in this story?)

Whether this is my last OC-hurrah or not, though, it has been such fun, in large part because of you. So yays! right back!

It's been a great run, that's for sure.

Hee. Almost choked on my tea at the bit where Seth would have done the same thing but Kirsten thinks it unlikely. Lol. Love the banter about all the broken items and the cookies. Lovely ending. Sniff.

Thanks Mel. I still have a chunk of what would have been the next chapter on my computer (a Ryan-Cal-Cohens wrap-up scene) but I doubt it will ever appear, unless I need writing therapy now that school is starting again. So I'm glad this ending satisfies.

This was wonderful!

I just found The O.C. last fall, and I've been catching up on ten years worth of fanfic. I loved this one! Evil Caleb is one of my favorites, and Ryan-in-peril is always good. :) I've been making my way through your other stories too, although I haven't commented on them, they've all been really good!

So many O.C. writers seem to have vanished, and some of the stories too. Would you mind if I friended you, just in case you write more? :)
