This was such a beautiful post. I choked up a few times, reading it. This will sound funny, but The Price Is Right made it even more emotional for me. My mom and I used to watch it religiously at 11 A.M., too, and then Mom would watch The Young and the Restless. I'm living a long way from her now and any time I hear either theme song, I am struck with the strongest sense of homesickness. I could hear The Price Is Right in the waiting room at my job yesterday and I kept tearing up hearing the dingdingdingdingding! every time someone won a bid. It got so bad that I was laughing at myself.

But all that aside, that's still a wonderful story about what sounds like a wonderful woman. Thank you for sharing it with us.

Thank you so much for reading and for sharing this comment. It's funny because the opening tune of The Young and the Restless theme actually makes me feel so nostalgic. Maybe because I continued to watch The Price is Right here and there as I grew up (and always flipped it off as the credits started rolling), but when I was younger my great-grandmother or my mom would leave CBS on as background noise when the soap operas came on. It's strange how such innocuous things can stir up such strong memories and feelings.

This absolutely gave me goosebumps. In my family, we have many stories about such visits from beyond the veil, so to speak. I'm inclined to believe them.

Thank you for reading! My family definitely has our own set of "ghost" stories that everyone swears by and I too am inclined to believe them. I think it's comforting in a way and it makes me feel good to think that it's real.
