I discovered a book today that my mom has been reading on how to raise boys. I find that disturbing. Either she feels like she's not raising me to be "an effective member of our society" or she was telling me the truth when she said that she had to stay up-to-date on the latest literature. Even though she is a psychologist I'm still disturbed.....

eh, my mom has books on how to raise kids. its annoying. i don't find it disturbing though, because its like a manual for parents. its useful because they probably don't know what to do and they don't want to make any mistakes in raising their kid, so they go to the books. the only part that disturbs me is that parents actually rely on these books- i mean, get to know your kid, and do what your gut tells you i guess. but nothing stupid.

please don't ask me what i just said. im not sure.
