Personality:
In the beginning, Haseo was a jerk. He didn’t care about anyone other than himself and Shino, the one he wanted to save. Shino had gone into a coma and Haseo was determined to find out how to cure it and get to the base of the problem, and he didn’t care who he hurt or what he had to do to find out. However, things began to change when Haseo came across Azure Kite, who he thought was Tri-Edge at the time, and he was Data Drained, causing him to lose all of the items, member addresses and levels he had gained throughout his time in The World. He had to start over completely. Due to his weak appearance, he befriended two players named Silabus and Gaspard , who believe he is new. Haseo ends up joining their guild, Canard, whose purpose is to help people new to The World. Due to the time he is forced to spend with the two, Haseo grows to see them as friends, and is determined to protect them and to make sure that their time in The World continues to be fun for them.
Haseo then meets Atoli, the person who changes him the most. At first he can’t stand her, because she looks like his friend Shino, but she isn’t Shino. It takes him a long time to finally realize that they are separate people with completely different personalities, and that the fact that Atoli looks like Shino shouldn’t affect the way he sees her. Eventually, he becomes very close to Atoli and he becomes more compassionate and starts to care about others much more due to her presence.
By the end of the series, Haseo has learned that he can’t just go through life on his own, that he needs to have other people there to support him. Haseo finally realizes that friendship is truly a two-way street, and that he needs to also put effort into his relationships because people won’t always be willing to do all of the work that is needed. He is still very sarcastic towards his friends and even a bit rough with them, but his intentions are now good and he will do anything he can to make sure his friends are happy.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Haseo is a leader, whether or not he wants to be. He often finds others asking him what they need to do, and giving the orders to them. He is also very intelligent, which attributes to his effectiveness as a leader (and after all, he is in a famous private academy in real life). Haseo is also a people magnet; others tend to take interest in him immediately, even when he didn’t care about others. He’s also very protective of others and will do anything in his power to make sure that none of his friends end up getting hurt.
Haseo may know how to make good decisions most of the time, but he can still be very rash and make a decision that turns out to have a negative effect on himself and everyone around him. When Haseo has a goal, he will follow through with it, and even let it turn into an obsession. However, he has mostly grown out of that, and is able to prioritize his goals without letting them disrupt other factors of his life. He will also let things eat him up inside if he feels guilty about something that he has done, or when he feels that he should have been able to prevent something from happening. Haseo’s deepest fear is that he will be unable to protect the ones he loves.

First Person Sample:
[Haseo’s face appears onscreen and he does not look amused.] What the hell is this? I know that I’m not in The World, but I still look like my PC. This isn’t an error or anything… It can’t be AIDA either, because all of that should be gone. So why don’t I look the way I do in real life? Whatever this is, it isn’t funny.
Also-[He looks slightly annoyed as an Igglybuff hops onto his shoulder happily.] Why do I have a pokémon?
… An Igglybuff? Really?
Third Person Sample:
He knew something was wrong the moment he woke up. First of all, he looked like his PC. This would be completely fine… if he was in The World. However, he wasn’t. Haseo wasn’t sure he was even in Japan. Still, the world looked a bit familiar… Yet, he couldn’t quite place it just yet.
That is, until he saw that he had a pokémon; that was when all of the pieces connected. He was somehow in the pokémon world. Haseo may have had his consciousness stuck inside an online game before, but having his whole being in a console game? This was weird. It wasn’t a dream either; he could still feel things and he was aware of his presence. However, what he couldn’t find the presence of was his avatar. He couldn’t find Skeith anywhere. This was his biggest clue that he wasn’t in The World; that he was actually in a different world entirely.
Buff! He turned his attention to the small creature beside him. The pokémon held its small arms up at him, begging to be picked up. He sighed. Of all the different kinds of pokémon… he had to get a cute one. He bent down and picked it up, holding it awkwardly since he had never held a creature like it before. Nonetheless, the Igglybuff enjoyed being held and snuggled up close to his chest. Haseo frowned at the unwanted affection; he wasn’t really one to cuddle. Still, the thing was really cute… Haseo shook his head; he’d really been around Atoli too much. She was beginning to influence his thoughts now. He looked back down at the Igglybuff in his arms. Come to think of it, it actually reminded him of Atoli. He smiled a little at it. “You know, I think I’ll call you Atoli. You definitely act like her.”
At the mention of getting a name, the Igglybuff cried out happily and jumped up and down in Haseo’s arms. He sighed again. This was going to be a stay here.
