But seriously, thank you so much for this story. It's like...the first hour after the start of a bout of rain, when the ground has soaked through and you can start smelling the aromas of plants, grass, and the earth, in a pungency released by the saturation of the wet in the air. A cool, moist hush rolls across the ground, punctuated by the sound of raindrops slopping across leaves. The world is shedding its skin and shaking it off, and you're surrounded in the green, breathing it through your pores. That's what the story feels like. A new beginning.
