A school in my district performed The Laramie Project last year... the administration made a big deal about it, some parents protested, it was horrible. In the end, all 5 shows were sold out, it was a great performance. Although a large majority here thought it was bennificial, etc... they are still those close-minded few...

There wasnt a single protest about the school doing this play. I believe that that speaks volumes about the community that I live in. Yet, you are right about those close-minded few...oy.

I've seen the HBO special and I cried. I did a report on Matthew Shepard's murder in ninth grade honors english, but it's just as hard to hear about it the first time as it is the last. I am particularly in love with the "Angels" Christina Ricci's character did to shadow the protestors. Powerful and beautiful and I wish a school here would do it.
