Summary: Selphie is an abusive relationship, and wants to get out but doesn't know how. Her best friend finds out the hard way, and does everything in her power to bring the cowboy to justice. Kairi style. Warning: OOC Irvine major reasons

:O i really like it. unique idea, though the thought of irvine abusing selphie that way seems rather...wince-inducing, if that makes any sense. XD and i'd love to see more--kairi's characterization is wonderful and i'd love to read her confrontation with irvine.

Oh don't worry I know exactly what you mean! I was soo, so, soooo iffy about making Irvine like that. I adore him, and writing him in such a way just plain ol' weird. He's so out of character it BURNS HURTS. That's why after these I wouldn't be able to make him an abusive anything. But wow thank you so much, I'm very glad to know you enjoyed it! I was worried for this one as well because angst is definitely not my strong point. Although I do love trying out new things!

But definitely another big thank you about Kairi's characterization. I do adore writing her ever so much. :D Eeee, I worry very much about the next part of this. D:

Thank you for the review sweets!♥ And yes I know that the poor boy is so GAH- it was very hard for me to even finish writing/post the story, but I do have my reasons. I already have the whole story in my head and I already know how it's going to end. But I do promise everything will piece together. :3 Scouts honor!

Hey, I really liked this! It was pretty angsty, alright!! (And I love angst! XD) The part that I liked the most is the paragraph where Selphie starts excusing Irvine for what he's done...That attitude is perfect for someone in that kind of situation; as stupid as it may seem, most people just deny the damage and say they are still 'loved'. It was very appropriate and very deep.

Hmmm...Irvine's OOCness didn't strike me as being that bad. I mean, he is kinda crazy, and he's sort of infatuated with Selphie, so I could see something like this happening in an AU setting; something like an obsessed love for her that's gone overboard. I like the idea very much and, being a FF8 fan, I'm glad you included him! (He was going to be in KH, but he got replaced by Wakka. Guess Disney doesn't like guns XD)

As for Kairi and Selphie, they are awesomely IC, loved Kairi's determination the most! And, for some strange reason, imagining her saying 'Fuck this!' was awesome!! She rocks, big time XD Oh, and you get extra points for making Selphie say 'Irvy

YAY THANK YOU! I don't know what it is about these type of relationships that always get me acting like Kairi, but I do. I'm a sap and cried so much while writing this. I get too into it, and I know a little too well how most of these relationships end up. And I know from lots of experience that looks are definitely very deceiving. So in end I thought Irvine would fit the part a little too perfectly. In the story he's a sweetheart, comes from a great family, his reputation is flawless... But everyone has skeletons in their closet

I liked it precisely because it was different! I really like reading about characters in situations they wouldn't normally be in (while still sounding IC, of course!! :D).

Well, I think I'd probably react in the same way if a friend was hiding something like that from me. (Of course, it would be rather ironic, 'cause I would totally want to punch them hard in the face for being so stupid!! O_o But obviously, in the end, I wouldn't. :3)

I think Selphie was a good choice, too. I mean, it's precisely because she's so strong that she can put up with what's happening to her without saying a word. Oh and, by the way, you're also quoting KH, so don't worry ^_~

Irvine was probably replaced because his weapon is a gun Disney wouldn't want a kid in an island shooting another one now, would they? XD Also...FFX!Rikku got replaced by Yuffie, but she came back later as a fairy, so, no harm done

I third the notion of perhaps switching Irvine with someone else, because other then that bit, this fic is wonderful. I love how you wrote Kairi. She's so badass and yet still Kairi. ♥

I wouldn't be able to switch him even if I tried, because it just wouldn't go with what I had planned for the story. :( I do know he's very out of character but I have my reasons.
