Inevitably it happens- Spitfire and Kazu fall apart in a very familiar, amiable sort of way that makes Spitfire twice as depressed as he would be from a messy breakup. Simca spoon-feeds him tapioca and dresses him in silly clothing, but these do little to improve his mood. Your flame is flickering! she warns. It doesn't necessarily matter, Spitfire tells himself. He should have stepped aside a long time ago. Holding onto a relationship with Kazu was only holding onto the title of Flame King, of his own self importance

When injured, Mello doesn't exactly talk much, which endears him to Cox almost immediately. He doesn't have any lookie-loos dropping by to make demands of his attending doctor wither, which is a great load off of Cox's mind. In fact, after long enough the man hasn't had any visitors that the police force in Babylon has to pull Cox aside and have a talk

Allen and RiverderogatoryAugust 31 2008, 07:13:11 UTC
At first she makes Allen so nervous he can barely look at her, let alone talk. Even talking is impossible, because the poor, sad nothings she comes up with are like a kick to the chest. Allen can't handle her when she falls into a fit. He tries to help, but he can't do much besides clutch at her hands and dodge a blow. River, he says over and over again, trying to remind her, to ground her, to do something. It's worse than an Akuma's birth, this slow show of her slipping away

Tamaki and AnyaderogatoryAugust 31 2008, 07:18:42 UTC
Tamaki and Anya have battles over who can have the most enthusiasm for the most mundane aspect of everyday life. Frankly, it's really all honest excitement on their parts, but residents take to gambling on who will out excite the other over something like tea grinds or plumbers. Anya thinks Tamaki being part of the bourgeois class makes it a little too convenient that he's so enthused about everything and points out that he can be annoying once and a while. Buffy and the other remind cautiously deaf in these moments, for fear of pointing out her own traits.
There's too much energy for everything between them that eventually it resonates off each other and they kiss- once, twice. And when Tamaki tries to apologize for being too presumptuous, she tugs him down after her.
Tamaki and Kyouya. Tamaki and Andrew. Spitfire and Andrew. Spitfire and Nathan. Azula and Asuka. Tiera and Mal. Mello and Faith. Crowley and Sylar? Kennit and Dolohov. Leo and anyone, I dare you.
Tieria and Mal (sorry)derogatorySeptember 1 2008, 01:04:39 UTC
It's functionally impossible for them to really ever get along. Mal's made up of unavoidable mishaps and plans that never quite go according to plan. Tieria has a certain gauge for how far a mission can drift from its original objective before his body can no longer recalibrate their route. To the Meister, the world around him exists on a narrow path with success or failure lined up neatly on either say. That kind of line doesn't exist for Mal- and if it did, it ain't like he would've followed it anyway

It isn't that Azula is a woman to hold grudges. What transpired between herself and Rokudou was a fair fight- even if she had lost. Azula will never be all right with losing, but she survived and wore on through her time in Babylon. Unlike Hibari she has no need for a rematch to prove her own strength. She'll grow more powerful than that man can tear down and, inevitably, he'll craw to her side. It's after Zuko and Tsunayoshi steal her child that she overextends her own abilities and the sting of old wounds open and pour over, ruining her chances at a increase in power and status over some simple old wounds
