That's such a shame. I know she's devastated now, but if you can try to get her to see that it isn't the end of the world, and sometimes thing happen for a reason. And also that not having a degree is not the end of the world.

Luckily she called her second choice, Canterbury Christchurch, and they've accepted her no probs.

I'm so relieved for her - I think she just thought 'Fuck! What am I going to do now?'

I'm glad to hear that. I can just about remember how I felt when I didn't get (anywhere near) the grades I wanted (it was a long time ago), and it does just feel as though your world has ended.
