god loves everyone as far as im concerned. if the god everyones worshipping is a person. and hes not all powerful but might be all knowing. i have two interpretations for your verses. either a) the original hebrew or whatever language texts had a word that is like hate but not hate, or somehow the word got in there in translation, much like the newer bible versions include the word homosexuality, which by the way the ancient hebrews did not have a word for, or b) its says that god hates the action, not the person. you know, love the sinner, hate the sin.
but then, what do i know? im about as sure on religion as bush is on calculus. (ooo, snap!)
"because believers were once non believers and made mistakes" we still make mistakes btw, we all do, we just have a scapegoat basically. God hates sin, not sinners. hell is not "punishment," i dont think, or i dont think of it that way. The only way into Heaven is to be perfect, and none of us are perfect but jesus is. If you believe in the perfectness of Jesus he can use his perfectness for you? [i guess] but if you don't believe in him, God supposedly thinks its better to put you in a place without Him, so maybe you can understand your need for him and his perfectness? i dont believe that hell lasts eternity. I'm sure there's a point where souls in hell outgrow or get beyond that point. I mean why would God put you in a place without him for eternity for something you did in a mere breath of life [because our time here on earth is to be but a breath]? i think i'm also going to make a post about this and some other stuff
