My little breastfed cutie patootie recently started sitting up on her own, so we decided it was time to give solids a whirl. We skipped cereal altogether, so this was a whole new world of flava for Cambria.

Solids, ahoy! )

aww so cute. Chloe's first food was bananas as well....now she HATES them lol.

She really likes apples (they also have one with pomegranite and she loves that), pears, mango, squash, peas, sweet potato.

I am starting to do BLW (baby led weaning) and she loves to eat chunks of avacado, and had broccoli and asparagus this week.

they say try foods 3x and if they still dont like it try it again at a later date. Maybe she would be more interested if she got to pick it up like pieces of squished avacado or even squishy banana?

She is super cute!

We did bananas first since Dr. Sears suggested them as a good start for breastfed babies, since the taste is close to breastmilk...but now we're doing all the veggies. We do 4 days in a row of a certain kind and track it, to watch for likes/dislikes and allergies. This is our second week, so we're on carrots now.

Oh!! I read about BLW! It sounds so fun! We may try it with Cami after we've figured out if she has any allergies :)
