where cc's boggart is revealed

I have to admit, I'm a little weirded out. When I made the post about locking BLTN I was expecting a few people to reply, not close to 50 ( Read more... )

I don't think you're being overly cautious. It's better to be safe!

Just wanted to say that I'm really enjoying BLTN. And I'm glad I'm on your friends list.

But did I mention that I'm 11? Yeah, I was a rather precocious 6 when I started writing PoU...sigh.

I knew it! ;)

Glad you are reading along and enjoying it.

Have you read "The Pact" by Jodi Piccoult? I read that a few years ago. Very good. I finished the book not really sure what happened (can't be more specific or will give away the plot if you haven't read it) but I don't think the people involved will ever know the truth, either. Interesting book.

I picked up Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norell from the library yesterday on your rec from months ago. Why does 700+ pages of non JKR look so daunting?

I am halfway through Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell right now. There's a lot of good stuff in there in the vein of that whimsical British humor and Neil Gaiman-like magic realism (be sure to read all the footnotes!), but for me it's lacking that compulsive readability of Gaiman or Rowling, where I have to keep reading to know what happened. I expect I will finish it at some point.

Wow, what a bright little girl you are. Do your parents know about this? Do all the ideas for the sex in POU come from personal experience? If so, are the boys on the playground that experienced? Just curious.

CC, I havent started reading this one yet, but I've enjoyed your other stories so I'm gonna get started this weekend.

I wanted to ask you opinion on this whole friending fiasco and also find out how you created your LJ home page. You have nifty little links all down the side. I want to make mine look better, specifically my books, cds and movies part of the sidebar. I think I need a customization to do it and don't know where to look for it/do it.

/bugging you about technical lj stuff

Oh, and I wanted to lowdown on lost. We had a silly Basketball party so I missed it. See rant/entry about participation trophies.

Sure, gak away. You are talking about the boggart one, right? If so, credit that to demosthenes91. She made it for me! I love being the inspiration for icons (from my GoF essay). I'm such a cheap date.

Now I understand why you started posting BLTN on Portkey (and why do the letters BLTN make me think "Bacon, Lettuce & Tomato Nation"??? probably because my $6 lunch today was really skimpy, but I digress). I think you did the right thing, Mel. Just hope some 11 year old's mother doesn't find her (or him) reading BTLN and tell you what a pervert you are ;)

Your experience, and jori's earlier this week is what has me so skittish. So, yeah.

BLTN...don't say that! Funny, but it will be stuck in my mind now...thanks a lot. ;)

I'm actually looking to get my author name changed to Oh_Honestleigh but I can't seem to get James or Nappa to respond to me. Guess I'll have to be more assertive :D

Just know that I'm a proud member of the BLT Nation (yours and the other one ;)
