where cc is actually turned off sexually by Mr. Charm's music

Feb 22, 2005 21:53

I've decided what my true boggart is. It's an life-sized iPod full of Mr. Charms music. Imagine it, a 5-foot silver iPod grooving to all those 80's tunes we've tried to forget...not to mention the Johnny Lee classic from Urban Cowboy, "Lookin' for Love" (the actual song that brutally murdered my libido. He went through his entire iPod with me the ( Read more... )

Oh, i sympathize with you, oh so very much so. Many of my freinds listen to horrible music. One claims that anything thats not classic rock isnt music. Bullshit. I keep telling them that Green Day is the shit and that if they dont start getting addicted I will have to break out the chainsaw, but they know a dry threat when they hear it. Too bad. So yeah, I hope you can get Mr. Charm off of this horrible stuff. (PRINCE? just shoot me now.)

Hey how come you refer to Jack as Jack and your husband as Mr. Charm?? Why not call Jack "Midget Charm"? :P

Oh and I consider myself normal, yet porn (ok, more adult fanfic) is one of my favorite things.

TIP: Google Image Search narrows it down to what you want to see, provides thumbnails, no annoying pop ups, no viruses, its really great.

See, now I'm rambling.
Good Luck with the swimming! :)

Jack is called Captain Jack most of the time (after Pirates of the Carribean) and my other son is called Little King. Trust me, those two names fit their personalities to a 't'.

I haven't heard of very many of the artists on Mr. Charm's playlist! Your boggart is so cute. LOL.

Finally got inspiration for the next chapter of BLTN tonight while cooking fajitas. Must go write.

I'm going through serious BLTN withdrawls! ; )

Going to starbucks today to get away from LJ and the internet, since I have no willpower at all to stay away from available web surfing.

Me neither. No willpower at all. And to think I should be writing essays... I am the queen of procrastination!

My husband has excellent musical taste...except for the part where he likes Sade. (gag) I once told him that I considered it "music for old people to have sex to" and I think he took it personally.

Kudos to Captain Jack for making the Big Splash! So cute!

Well, I'll admit that the Urban Cowboy song would make my eyes twitch but as long as the music collection expanded to include new stuff, there's nothing wrong with setting your flux-capacitor back a couple of decades or three. ;) I think you're bringing him along quite nicely. :D

So now that you've publicly flogged Mr Charm, what's in your Ipod? (Besides the glory of the Killers, Franz, and the Roses.)

The only thing he has that is current is what I've been playing lately, Franz and the killers. I guess I'm as bad as he is in that I won't even consider his stuff, as he won't consider mine. The main difference is that I know his stuff, i've listened to it/heard it a thousand times. He isn't even giving the stuff I like a chance.

What's in my ipod? let me see:

Aimee Mann
alanis Morissette
Anita O'Day
The beatings
ben kweller
Billie Holliday
Bing Crosby
bloc party
blossom dearie
blur
The breeders
brendan benson
british sea power
the buff medways
cary brothers
the charlatans
the clash
coldplay
colin hay
the cure
the dandy warhols
david bowie
the delgados
dinah washington
doves
easyworld
the eighties matchbox b line disaster
ella fitgerald
elliot smith
frank black
frnaz ferdinand
goo goo dolls
gram parsons

ok, I could go on, but you get the idea. Little bit of jazz, lots of alternative, little bit of mainstream pop...not as good a mix as I want, I'm thinking about getting Norah JOnes and John Mayer and suggested someone the other ( ... )

*smiles* I think I could swap players with you and enjoy it! Oh, and thanks to xrogue81, I discovered Eisley, I adore them. You've got me wondering now...is there anything specific in there that gets you inspired to write? Especially for H/Hr?

Coldplay's Parachutes inspired me to write quite a bit. A lot of music does actually and I just thought to ask if it does the same for you. Or is it just the fajitas? ;)

One of these days, I'm going to quit reading LJ's, if only to scrub my mind of images that make me shudder... such as the image of C3PO clanking around the house singing one of those songs at the top of his electronic lungs ( ... )
