where cc states her spoiler policy

I have this horrible habit (propensity?) to think about things too much. Maybe I should call it stewing. The more I think about something, the more worked up I get. I've always done this. It is why Mr. Charm can leave in the morning, thinking everything is fine, and come home and I'm irritated because I've been thinking about some 'wrong' from days ( Read more... )

I so totally do the stewing thing to. I have just recently (yesterday, on hubby's birthday no less) blown up about it. It happened on the way home from being at the in-law's house for over three hours. I am totally on edge/stewy about a lot of things. I am really upset that I am upset.

I am much with the stewing thing myself. And I'll probably have the same spoiler policy that you have. I'd probably need to know *that* before I read HBP. Waaah. *hopes not*

I have a bad feeling that there is going to be spoilers on both sides; meaning that there will be hoaxes for both happening. I wish I had the will power to boycot lj/hp fandom for a month or two before but I don't think I do.

^^ Ron & Hermione? If *that* happens, I may require therapy. Seriously. I will end up questioning everything logical in the universe. I'm keeping the faith, though. However, if I do have to eat my words, I will consume them with great dignity along with fava beans and a nice chianti. *Mental this one, I'm telling you* :P

That should be your motto:

"Ron + Hermione - When Pigs Fly" ;)

About spoilers.....

This will be the first book release that I'll be a part of. I read all books at once last January, so I'm not sure how much gets out before the book makes it to our hands.

Does real info like that really get out?

This is my frist book release while in fandom, too so I asked gryffindor_phan that exact question. Before OotP, she was spoiled for the entire plot from a review. So, apparently it does. And, there are lots of hoaxes. Of course, I could just not read that sort of stuff. But I know my will power is nonexistent. The hoaxes are what meks me want to stay away from fandom, really.

Well, that sucks!

I have no will power either, so if I see a "don't read here - spoilers" subject, my mind will say no, but my mouse will say yes. I can't control myself.

I guess it wouldn't be TOO bad to know the general plot, but I'd be really pissed if someone told me who dies in the end or something major.

As for the Hr/R spoiler... my mind is set in one mode: 100% sure Hr/R is not happening! Even if someone tells me it does before I read the book, I won't believe it until I read it with my own eyes! But it won't happen, not at all. :)

Oh, I wish I had your confidence! I'm pretty confident that it won't happen, but I'm also prepared for the disappointment.

As long as Voldemort, Malfoys, Pettigrew, Bellatrix die horrible deaths and Harry lives, I'll let that be enough. But PLEASE if not H/Hr, then no pairing at all!

I'm with you!

If not H/Hr, then I MIGHT be able to handle H/L, but I cannot handle H/G. Thats just wrong.

Indeed. NO H/G. Please, for the love of all that's good and holy and makes sense. Please Jo. Please. *begs*

Was Ginny crushing on Harry in CoS (book) or just movie? Are we supposed to buy into H/G because he saved her in CoS? He would have saved Hannah Abbott or even Milicent Bulstrode. That's what Harry does. If it had been Milicent, would we be having H/M shippers out there? Wake up. H/G ain't gonna happen. OBHWF. *Wretch*
