The drawings of Harry, Ron, and Hermione are fantastic. I don't like the other person, though.

I wouldn't mind having an icon of her Ron. I like him.

*puts on book publisher hat*

Judging by the text on the thing you previously linked to and the size, it's probably just a cardboard cutout that's meant to be displayed in bookstores starting in, oh, 57 days or so, to drive pre-orders. As such, it's probably not subject to quite the same editorial oversight that the actual book jacket would be--more likely the product of the sales department. So I wouldn't read too much into it.

True. Maybe these pictures are on the back cover...who knows?

I thought of that...but they they'd be looking up at nothing, right?

I like all the drawings...even maybe-Ginny actually.

Remember the stand for OOP? It had the back cover artwork, sans a certain *coughsiriuscough* silouhette. I'm more interested in the Dark Mark on there. I was suprised to see that. But we already know who's gonna "you know what".

For what it's worth, Mugglenet's post says it's Ginny on the right, but then they are annoyingly OBHWF over there, aren't they?

Umm... for what it's worth, I'm inclined to agree with quidditchmom about it being Lily. The redhead is much more ethereal that either Ron or Hermione. They have bodies, and Redhead is just kind of floating, suggesting to me that she may not be among the living... Not to mention her eyes seem green to me and that she seems awfully two dimensional when compared with Ron and Hermione... That's just me though.

I just wrote this somewhere else...I thought Lily and remember JKR saying that the significance of Harry's green eyes comes into play in the "next book."
