Bolstered by the good mood I was in from ordering new glasses today I decided it'd be the perfect day to attempt some sushi rolls. But between a lack of planning and the local supermarket lacking the proper ingredients it was a messy not so fruitful experience. I really need to get a proper sushi mat, that would be a tremendous help. -

The problem with projects that I can really get into is the fact that I tend to forget less important things. Like dinner and lunch.
Instant food that works in a microwave is a godsend - particularly if I know what everything on the ingredient label is. -

No time to learn the CSS, but a new journal layout regardless.
School is keeping me far too busy. -
Singing the Layout Blues
I've reached my limit of my tolerance for what I can and can't do with the customizable features that come with live journals layouts. Unfortunately this means I must learn CSS, or perish.
Or find someone who knows enough to do it for me, but that's the boring way to put it, and it seems lazy.

I've been bitten again by the knitting bug it seems. As of tonight I have an experimentation of pattern in red wool, half of a black skull cap, part of a neckwarmer done up in a handspun I bought this weekend, and half a mitten that's so pink it makes me snicker every time I see it ( Read more... ) -

Pumpkin Smashers
We always went with my grandparents the second weekend in October to get pumpkins for Halloween. In Publication Design today we had a lecture on the various methods of book-binding that are the easiest for use to do. The saddle-stitch, or your average stapled binding is the one that all of use have been using up until know, but today we learned all about grommets, thread screws, a Chinese-styled binding stitch and a normal binding stitch. Quiet houses in the middle of the night when you're alone aren't really fun, or good for sleeping. Hearing every little creak and bump and wondering what in the hell it could be doesn't help.
