Oh hunny. What a lot to go through. I'm sorry for all the stress, but glad that your mother's looking better now than before, even if there's more to deal with coming up.

I would love to, but Winston-Salem is pretty far for me to commute back and forth (and re: this last trip, if I had been at Wake Forest instead of WFU I would have certainly come over).

So sorry for your family health trials. I'm nowhere near the level you are talking about yet, but my mom is a diabetic, asthmatic, and overweight. She has been getting progressively worse, but recently she switched docs and seems to be improving slowly. First time I've really started dealing with the age and decline of my folks. It sounds like you are actually dealing with this quite well though, just keep taking care of yourself through the process.
