i need to vent about life. i hadn't even thought about all these things before going to my hiv/aids class today and it makes me mad that if i didn't have this class that i would be walking around in this "self-centered" little bubble. when i say self-centered i mean me, my surroundings, and my country as all "self." the bc bubble i live in, the ( Read more... )

Virginia Tech story has been covered from every angle, in every detail, from every witness possible. It's because every American is either in college or knows someone that is, and can imagine such a tragedy affecting their personal life. Not many people however, know, or will ever know, someone with AIDS thankfully. Americans are able to put things that are happening in other countries out of their minds, I think with the attitude that in some way they deserve it. People are not able to justify the loss of innocent American lives, ones that did nothing to deserve their fate ( ... )
