You know what my wound is? I believe that I am so over-emotional and such a drama queen that to ever express what I really feel is only ever an intentional plea for attention. It is okay to feel. It is better than okay, it is a very good thing. It is the emotionless, the uncaring that need healing, not the ones that can still feel pain. If you feel pain, you can feel love, but without the capacity for heatbreak there is no capacity for joy. Your emotions are overwhelming to some because they do not understand them, but that is their shortcoming, not yours.
Remember Spider Robinson? When you sympathize with someone you feel sorry for them, but when you empathize with them you try to understand where their emotions are coming from. We need more empathy.
