Rain says I can't control crazy people. She's right, of course. Doesn't mean the sucker punch doesn't hurt like hell, though. Rain and I haven't always been friends, ya know. Because keeping the peace means never admitting there's a problem. I mean, except with the younger generation. Younger people are supposed to be clueless. That fact does nothing to upset the stability of the cosmos.

You will forgive me, I'm sure, if I mention that I am in possession of a lovely set of bone china teacups that Mother had bought for said aunt and then gave them to me instead because of "what my aunt had done to me". This immediately before I left for Spokane. Pot, meet kettle. No, I'm not mad at Mom, I blew so bad because Mom had just pointedly reminded me of every negative thing she'd ever done regarding me, our brother, and Mom.
