I didn't hear such great comments about Leopard - honestly, according to their official forum [that, let's remind, it's CENSORED], I read no good opinions. An OS that doesn't recognize your hard disk is the ultimate joke, really.
Apparently, Leopard is buggy as hell and they just RELEASED it. Since last time, when they had this bright idea to release this firmware [was that?] update [on the official website, mind you, not to blame emule for it] that screwed up hundreds -way more- of computers in the world.. well, I tend checking before and rooting for the installation process to actually happen and WORK :/
Please let me know how it goes, at this point I am curious. And I wish you well obviously!
they killed the ability to run classic on the leopard. meanies.
also, we don't see your phone here. which one is it?? the old nokia thingy that opens up? the communicator or something they call it. the only thing you left here is a bar of soap, stout/cider, crisps, ginger ale. hmm, i'll look again.
guess what I found today when plugging the backup drive into the machine I was installing Leopard on.
It was hidden toward the back of the one machine, plugged into a charger that I didn't realize was there. When I called you? I was basically standing on top of it, but there was an opaque table between me and it. Apparently 'opaque' is not 'transparent.'
As for Classic, well, I have a beige and a blue&white that can run classic. And the beige doesn't run osX well at all due to overhead. So I'll be running some classic bits there. Tho a LOT of classic stuff is... very very very crap. I mean, Shufflepuck cafe rocked on Amiga. It looks like some 5 year old drooled on the mouse on the mac.
Well, I've sort of been given a number of them over the past 2 years from apple owners who had equipment they really liked, but they didn't have a use for anymore. They asked if I'd use it, and, well, yes, I will.
The new ones are nice, yes. But a blue&white will run Tiger, and you can get an Emac or an Imac, used, from the past 2-3 years for a lot less than new. It's worth it because they last a long time (: (And by 'a lot less' I mean I've found them on ebay.de for as little as 20 euros. Not including shipping. But I was looking for a friend in the Netherlands, so I think he can get it shipped over the border for a bit less than to Italy or Finland (: )
(I don't know you, but you appear to be new to LJ and browsing about, and from Italy, so, hi (: )
