Miniver-the-elder was not at all conscious of his memories changing as his younger self did things. What he HAD noticed was that the song he'd been working on lyrics for had started to take a turn towards the morbid in a way he didn't especially like, so he had given up on songwriting for the night and was in the common room, lounging on a chair ( Read more... )

But not for long.

Toki slipped back in from the bar earlier, and had gone to his bedroom and stirred about, restless as he could be, before he slipped into the main room. Someone was always in the main room, and he needed human interaction after all that.

Lucky for him, it was the one person who actually appreciated human interaction. He sat down on the couch and looked... well, he looked blank. Which wasn't exactly unheard of, but it meant one of two things. There'd be a lot of withdrawn, quiet moping, or a lot of grumpy, vicious words.

"Heyderes, Miniver."

Miniver cracks an eye open, takes brief scope of the situation, and gives Toki a welcoming grin as he sits up and brushes the ash off his sleeve.

"Hey there, m'luv. Come join me?"

Toki shrugged and got up once more, dropping himself in front of the chair, legs outstretched in front of him. His shoulder was still soaked, but he didn't seem to notice that, he just needed company. He leaned against Miniver's legs, quiet as he could be.

Miniver finishes off the last of his cigarette and stubs it out. He quietly slips down off the chair and sits next to Toki. He reaches to gently smoothe the guitarist's hair over his shoulders.

"What's up, puppy?"

The rhythm guitarist shrugged. "I hopes dat you's alright in de past. Dat's all."

Hence the soaked shoulder and the vacant expression. He was drained. "I thinks maybe I helps a little, but I don't knows."
