Last night, I had a long discussion with Mike about goals and the future. We don't normally talk about these things so this was a rare occasion. We normally talk about things like... actually I'm not sure. Okay, we normally don't talk about anything, instead we usually spend our time either stuffing our faces with food or competing on who can ( Read more... )

lets face it, friends come and go with a blink of an eye. best friends also falls under this catagory. someone once told me that you'll only end up with a handful of friends that you can really call "your best friend". and im starting to understand that now. it doesn't make you shallow that you want to pursue more accomplishments to put under your belt, what might make you shallow is if you let that consume your life. working 24/7 isn't a life to brag about. as with everything else, do things in moderation. move on, but don't forget your friends and memories.

In business terms, you can have a lot at low quality... or a few at high quality. Reality speaking, it's all going to filter out to a precious few.

A sense of accomplishment does not necessarily mean material gain. A sense of accomplishment is something that you set to yourself as self-improvement, spiritual gain, expanding your horizon, or whatever zen you can think of. This does not mean winning a trophie, getting a raise or a prize from a contest, all of these are completely irrelevant...these are the material gains you speak of.

In life, you don't really need all that friends. They simply are stepping stones and you really only have to make sure you pick the right stone. You don't want pressure from the path you take and the stones you step, that is a failure in life and you must get rid of it so.

Remember, life really only boils down to propagation and leaving a legacy; a legacy for people to learn and live from.

For me, the world is a large canvas, it is your duty to fill it as much as you can with your dreams and vision. Friends are there to help you find the right palette and your environment is your subject.
