Dean/Cas Big Bang Art: Things I Should Have Known
Okay, this one's pretty big. Yet another awesome story - I keep lucking out and getting such wonderful stories/authors to work with! This time, it's Things I Should Have Known by wolfrider89, a Destiel retelling of one of my favourite movies, Mr & Mrs Smith.
Some of the explanations have spoilers for the fic, read at your own peril. Also, there's one NC-17 image of the boys going at it, the rest are all pg.
First up, the title card. I tried shopping them to look like on the cover of the DVD, but they weren't cooperating. So instead I experimented a bit, and came up with this.
The first time they meet, they cuddle to fool security guards.
When Dean's away, Cas can't sleep. When he comes home, they wrap around each other and sleep properly.
The boys get their new assignments - each other.
Fight! The boys try to take each other out.
Dean has Cas in his scopes and a broken heart. Not a good combination.
They don't want to fight any more.
After the make-up sex, they decide to start again.
The boys gear up for revenge on the people who set them against each other.
Working towards their happily ever after. Side note: I hate drawing people snogging.
Dividers for the various stages of the story - looking away from each other, at the reader, or towards each other.
Angry sex! They're starting to suspect things aren't right, so Dean's solution is to screw Cas against the sofa. Cas doesn't think that this is a horrible idea. Side note: My first attempt at drawing a naked man. Not entirely satisfied with the details, but overall I like it. And there was basically a challenge in the story - Cas wondered what they looked like to an outsider. I had to attempt it at least.
Ah Dean, so snarky.
