Christmas Day Sketches

So on Christmas, The Boyfriend and I went to his sister's house for lunch with their parents. Always amusing when I go along, 'cause Sister likes me but she and Boyfriend... well, they've never gotten along, not since Sister was born. I tend to get antsy when I'm not doing anything with my hands, so on the train ride there I drew this:

There are times when The Boyfriend is awesome. The fact that he doesn't mind me drawing cute guys kissing when we're in public, or that he doesn't mind me writing about guys having sex? He gets major bonus points for that.

Present time was amusing. I'd gone along with Boyfriend when he went to buy presents, and he had a set list of what he was going to get them, with the understanding that they would be from me as well. I decided that his stuff wasn't enough, so wandered into Dusk (candle shop) and bought things for Sister and Mother. Mother has decided that next year, she's taking me along when she's buying gifts for people. Yay!

After that, when people were talking and Boyfriend and I weren't allowed in the kitchen to help clean (too crowded), I drew this:

It just flowed from the pen, and it wasn't until after I'd drawn the elf-guy and the background that I realised - that's the view from the causeway in my home town. Upon showing it to Big Bro when I got home, he spotted it immediately too. Anyway, I showed it to Boyfriend, and he made the quip, "We're not in Fantasia any more, Toto?" So I had to draw in the little dragon.

About that time, it started pissing down with rain, with ligjhtning and thunder too. It was awesome. So while everyone was sitting around chatting, I drew some more:

Then, decided to draw a larger version of Toto the Dragon:

Oh, and Sister had choclate-covered strawberries. I think I ate most of them... Strawberries are my favourite fruit to begin with. Combined with chocolate, I can't resist 'em. But in general I was good and didn't overdo the sweets, so I figured I was allowed to have a treat.

After that, it was time to go. On the train ride back, there was a family several seats away the kept casually insulting each other and the children, and I really wanted to stab the mother for being loud, rude and obnoxious towards her kids. Boyfriend commented that he wouldn't stop me if I tried it.

Days like that make me realise why I have murdered him and hidden his body somewhere. Though that may have more to do with the happy pills.
